This policy applies to the browser extension ShepherdBoy PubMed Collector (the "Extension"). The Extension collects selected PubMed PMIDs and sends them to ShepherdBoy services for account-based management.

1. Data We Process

• Account identifiers: user identity info displayed via /api/auth/me (for example, username and display_name).
• Business data: selected PMID list and related topic_id submitted by the user.
• Extension settings: server base URL, selected topic, and enabled status.
• Local history: collection history stored in extension storage (for example, PMID, timestamp, and source).

2. How We Use Data

• To validate user session and display account status.
• To add selected PubMed articles to the user's ShepherdBoy account.
• To store user preferences and show collection history.

3. Data Transfer and Sharing

• The Extension only sends requests to ShepherdBoy domains (shepherdboy.cn and its subdomains).
• Data is not sold to third parties and is not used for advertising targeting.

4. Local Storage and User Controls

• Settings and collection history are stored in browser extension storage (sync/local).
• Users can clear local history from the Extension settings page via "Clear history".

5. Cookies and Authentication

The Extension uses the browser's existing ShepherdBoy web session (cookies) for authentication and API requests.

6. Security and Retention

We apply reasonable safeguards to protect data. Server-side retention follows ShepherdBoy platform policies. To request deletion of account-related data, please contact us.

• 扩展配置和采集历史会存储在浏览器扩展存储中（sync/local）。
• 用户可在扩展设置页面执行“Clear history”清除本地历史记录。

5. Cookie 与认证

本扩展通过浏览器现有登录会话（Cookie）访问 ShepherdBoy 接口，仅用于身份校验与业务请求。

6. 数据安全与保留

我们采取合理措施保护数据安全。服务端数据保留策略以 ShepherdBoy 平台规则为准。 如您需删除与账户相关的数据，请通过下述联系方式提出申请。
